Who is TESLtools?

The first INTERLINK Language Center was established in Greensboro, NC in 1980 and there are now centers at Colorado School of Mines, Indiana State University, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Valparaiso University as well as a program at Al Yamamah University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ESL Resource Center began in 1997 as a collection of exercises and drills that students could work on outside of class on their own so that class time could be used for more valuable communicative and interactive activities. It was soon decided to make those exercises public and over the years the website attracted a large number of visitors. Currently, the ESL Resource Center has about two million visitors annually. Two INTERLINK faculty members, Mark Feder and Thad McGinnis thought it would be a good idea to expand the capabilities of the website to make it a useful tool for teachers of English all around the world, and TESLtools was born.
